Facilities

There is plenty of car parking and places to secure a bike (bring your own lock). There are multiple public toilet facilities, both at the start/finish line and on the course but they may not open until the event has commenced. Multiple drinking fountains are available too.

Course Description

The event is run entirely on sealed cycle/pedestrian paths that are well suited to pushing a pram and resistant to adverse weather. The course is an out and back course around the river. There are no road crossings but expect to encounter lots of runners and walkers along with some cyclists.

How to load the route

Download GPX

  • Garmin: import the GPX file as a course in Garmin Connect and send it to your watch.
  • Strava: save the Strava route to your own routes and sync it to your device.
  • Coros, Suunto and Polar: import the GPX file through your watch's companion app.
  • Apple Watch: the Workout app can't import GPX files, so use a third-party app such as WorkOutDoors, or Strava.
  • Phone: most route and running apps can import a GPX file.

Check that the course shows up on your phone or watch before the day. The start line is a poor place to find out it doesn't.
